Scotiabank Arena in downtown Toronto keeps a strict bag limit. The only bag you can bring is a small purse, clutch, or fanny pack no bigger than 6.5 by 4.5 inches, clear or not. Backpacks, duffel bags, and suitcases are all turned away, and MLSE encourages fans to skip bags entirely.
If you need a larger bag for medical or other reasons, you can enter after an x-ray inspection at gates 1, 3, or 5. For anything else over the limit, bag check is $25 in the galleria across from Gate 1. Union Station is right next door, so transit is the easy way in.
