The downtown Phoenix arena you may know as Footprint Center or PHX Arena is now the Mortgage Matchup Center, and it runs a clear bag policy. You can bring one completely clear bag up to 14 by 14 by 6 inches, plus a small clutch or wallet up to 4.5 by 6.5 inches that does not have to be clear.
Standard backpacks stay home, but there is one helpful exception. A single-compartment drawstring bag up to 14 by 14 by 6 inches is allowed. Every bag goes through an x-ray scanner at the checkpoint, and there is no bag check, so anything over the limit has to return to your car. The same rule covers Suns games, Mercury games, and concerts.
